On Wednesday morning around 6:00 AM, Victoria Police Chief Commissioner Mike Bush and his security detail were driving along Queen Street in Melbourne when they witnessed operational police officers struggling to restrain a man during a “high-risk” arrest.
In an unusual turn of events for a top-ranking official, Chief Commissioner Bush and his security staff stepped in to assist the officers on the ground, successfully pinning down and securing the suspect.
Victoria Police subsequently confirmed the incident, which had initially surfaced as a tip on local radio station 3AW.
