If working from home worked for you and grown to love working from home during the pandemic, you might be wondering if it could work for you forever. here are the pros and cons of work from home that you need to know.

 

You’ll probably work harder

This one can be a pro and a con.

Much of the evidence shows people who work from home are more productive and have increased job satisfaction, according to Mike Dockery, a labour market economist at Perth’s Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre.

 

You’ll have to work harder to stay connected

Stephen Teo, who researches management practice and workplace happiness at Edith Cowan University, says trust is the biggest thing managers struggle with when employees want to work from home.

A lot of them still think that by seeing their subordinates at work they are supervising them.

 

It can save a lot of meeting time

There have been unexpected efficiencies to moving conversations online.

The number of meetings that you would have [previously] where it could be a short meeting, but you’d drive to the location, have the meeting and then drive back from the meeting.
