In mid-July 2025, British rock band Coldplay held a concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, USA. During the show, the stadium’s big screen featured a “Kiss Cam” segment focusing on a couple in the audience. The man quickly dodged the camera as it caught him, while the woman covered her face with both hands, showing clear embarrassment and unwillingness to be publicly shown.
The clip was recorded by attendees and uploaded to TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), and other social media platforms, quickly attracting widespread attention and discussion online. Many users speculated that the man was Andy Byron, CEO of the tech company Astronomer, and the woman was Kristin Cabot, the company’s HR director. Both are married, with their marital statuses publicly known. On July 18, Astronomer officially issued a statement announcing an internal investigation into the individuals involved. The company said the CEO has been temporarily suspended and appointed Deputy Product Director Pete DeJoy as acting CEO to ensure normal operations, emphasizing they will handle any incidents affecting the company’s reputation seriously.
Several fake statements and apology posts allegedly from the company or the individuals also appeared online but were denied by official sources. The police have not received any reports or investigation requests related to the incident, and the parties involved have not made any public comments or clarifications.
